This is such an unusual Antique Escutcheon, which was salvaged off an antique door. The keyhole plate would be tacked to the piece through 2 holes on the inside. The top decorative plate can turn 360 degrees, which hides and exposes the keyhole. The top plate shows a stunning floral motif with lots of patina in between the details. This Escutcheon Cover could have been cleaned and polished at some point, although it shows its age. The distance between the top and bottom hardware holes is 1 1/2 inches.
