One of the finest in detail of its kind! This Escutcheon Cover would compliment a drop front secretary, chest of drawers, entry door or standard pull out drawer. This keyhole cover is solid brass, and heavy in weight for its size. The escutcheon displays 2 Cherubs on each side, as well as a Green Man or North Wind face at the bottom. You could argue that there’s 2 other faces displayed on the piece, although they aren’t as detailed to say for sure. This particular cover is great for a piece missing its escutcheon, simply because the amount of area it takes up, as well as the amount of holes to add nails (6 in total). The piece is uncleaned or polished and is rich in age with patina throughout.
