Antique Wood Embalming Tables are highly sought after, especially the folding/traveling types. This specific piece was by Champion, who was usually known for oak morticians pieces in the early to late 1920’s. The table completely folds down and locks into a manageable rectangle, unfortunately the original leather and metal carry handle has been removed. The solid oak design, shows a drastic grain and hand dovetailed sides. The surface area is a heavy veneer, which shows expected wear from age. The table glides across the floor with large antique casters, all of which displays a Victorian motif, which is uniquely stunning. The Table is very sturdy and a solid piece!
