A great piece to display upon a dresser or desk top to store your valuable items. This Asian Box is crafted of solid rosewood, and showing a stunning grain throughout. The clear lacquer finish shines great, and holds a great contrast next to the brass accents. The brass accents are fixed to every corner of the piece, as well as a brass center medallion and latch. All of the brass has not been cleaned or polished and shows mild aging. The Box itself is solid and sturdy and opens and closes as it should. The inside of the box has been fabricated with a paper liner to protect the inside. Unfortunately we do not know what the literature says.
