A great accent piece for any well-furnished antique estate! We come across many Steamer Trucks, typically we pass on them; This particular Truck was so unique by design, we couldn’t pass it up! This truck is a late 19th century piece, the overall construction of the truck is amazing, and is still exceptionally strong and heavy. The hammered tin motif is stunning and is really an eye catcher. The tin is complimented by metal strapping and wood throughout. The side leather handles are unfortunately gone and the front middle latch would have to be worked back into place to interlock, although the 2 small locks on each side of the truck work. The truck opens and closes as it should, and displays a nice amount of storage space within. With just mild water staining on the original interior, we’d say it’s in good to fair shape. The original inside label is shown without any rips and is still vibrant in color. This trunk has small built in casters on the bottom, very unique! Wear is to be expected, this piece was not refinished and shows its original finish. Wear includes surface scratches, chips and blems.
