This Mid 20th Century Vase was crafted out of soapstone with stunning details! The landscape relief carved front is heavily detailed and is accented with a red pigment. The backside of the vase, along with the top and base shows a high gloss glaze, which really contrasts off the carved front. The underside of the piece is marked “Made in Japan”, this was made as an export item for the European and American Market. Because of the size of the vase, it wouldn’t be practical to use for live plants, although it makes a great conversation piece. This vase is in exceptional condition without any cracks or chips.
