This Eastlake Victorian Secretary Desk was crafted during the Late 19th Century. This Secretary is made of solid oak with a drastic quatersawn grain throughout. The large Secretary Front drops down and rests on two pull-out turned oak rests. Within the Secretary area, you’ll enjoy a large surface space as well as an array of different sized cubbies and oak faced drawers. This secretary size is great for those who work on a laptop – Lots of room! The top of the secretary offers additional surface space, as well as a carved gable which accents the piece nicely. The bottom chest of the secretary includes five stacked drawers, all of which open and close as they should, and are embellished with a floral brass pull. The small door aside shows a stunning spoon carved front motif and leads you into a file area, this area is split between three sections (one section is missing as shown). This piece has been professionally refinished at some point in its life – Very well done! You will find minor repairs as well as surface scratches, chips and natural occurring splits in the wood as shown. This secretary is exceptionally sturdy for its age, it’s great piece to incorporate into an array of interior styles.
