This Traditional Sideboard Server adds character to any room its displayed within. Its timeless design makes this piece exceptionally versatile for an array of interior styles. The previous estate told us the story on how they bought this piece in Europe and transported it to the U.S. – We personally thought it looked Western European. The piece is crafted of solid cherry with a drastic veneer finish throughout. The large top surface area provides a tremendous amount of display space, it does appear the Sideboard once had a back rail. You’ll notice a small slot along back where it would have sat in. You’ll enjoy storage at its best with one large top drawer accompanied by double smaller stacked drawers. The double doors on each side of the piece provides additional open storage within. Each drawer opens and closes as it should, the drawer pulls are not original to the piece and were added at a different date – They suit the piece well. The double “Clover” motif found on the front of each drawer adds an eclectic touch to a traditional design style – It’s truly a unique piece. This piece is exceptionally sturdy and heavy.
