This Drop Front Secretary from the 1940’s is absolutely timeless, it compliments an array of interior styles. The Secretary is crafted of solid Maple with a deep finish – This piece practically glows in direct natural lighting. As you’d expect from a solid maple piece, it’s exceptionally sturdy and heavy. While the drop front area opens, writing surface supports automatically retract from the sides. While open, the piece displays a nice amount of surface area. This makes a great piece for writing or working on a laptop. You’ll enjoy an array of different sized pigeon holes as well as two small drawers. Beneath the writing area you’ll find three large stacked storage drawers. Each drawer opens and closes as it should and is embellished with turned wood pulls. The Secretary stands on styled carved legs – This adds a nice touch to a traditional look. This secretary does not include a key to lock the drop front area, it remains unlocked. Overall, this secretary is in really nice condition. You will find surface scratches, minor chips and finish blemishes from age.
