This Spanish Crane Statue is absolutely exceptional – Truly a one of a kind piece standing over 5ft tall. This Statue was purchased by its previous estate owner in Spain by an unlisted artist, the piece was professionally transported over to the United States during the 1980’s where it resided in Tuxedo Park, New York. This double Crane exhibits elegance and pure class, it looks amazing once on display. This statue was hand carved of solid wood, its very heavy. The finish is not painted on, it’s actually all stained and white washed. In most areas, you can see the wood grain through the finish. The finish is original to that statue and adds a unique look in different light environments. The beak of each bird is solid brass, both showing its age nicely. Despite the statues large size and strange proportions, it stands straight and sturdy, without any wobble. There is wear shown to this piece, we’ve taken many photos of any notable wear shown. Wear includes surface scratches, minor chips and natural splitting in the wood from age. With that said, all areas of the statue are in tact, no loose areas.
