This Three Drawer Spool Cabinet was crafted during the Late 19th Century by Belding’s Silk. The Cabinet is made of solid oak with a drastic grain shown throughout. The piece was likely refinished at some point in the pieces life, although it was not done recently – This piece is rich in age. The finish shows blemishes and chips in select areas, accompanied by a deep golden oak finish. The hand painted front letters are shown in a slight metallic gold and contrasts nicely. Each drawer includes a glass face and aged brass knob, the drawers open and close as they should. The top drawer includes the original sectioned areas for spool threads, while the additional drawers are bare. The cabinet is exceptionally sturdy and very well made, the sides of the piece shows early dovetails.
