Antique American Walnut Traditional Dovetailed Storage Box

A Walnut Dovetailed Traditional Storage Box, United States, c.1920. This uniquely sized storage box was likely made to hold a small measuring instrument. Unlike similar microscope dovetailed boxed, this one a slightly more stout in size. The solid walnut shows early hand made dovetail construction on each side of the box. The front door opens and closes as it should and includes a brass lined keyhole. The lock was removed at some point in the boxes life. The front knob is true to its era, although likely added in later years. Mild surface scratches and blemishes could be seen, it’s overall in good condition.
