A Walnut Marquetry Inlaid Glass Top Butlers Serving Table, Italy, c.1940. This piece would look exceptional while in display in an array of interior styles. The solid walnut construction shows a drastic grain throughout. The burl veneered top is accompanied by inlaid marquetry motifs, it’s quite stunning. The glass top includes two side handles and lifts off the table top, this style of table is often called a “Butlers Table”, as this is what your butler would serve you with. The reeded legs show extra flare, its an all around lovely piece. The underside is marked “106”, this was likely the catalog style number.
