A Boho Chic Tortoise Shell Rattan Table Stand, United States, c.1930. This Stand would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. The Rattan legs are nicely sculpted, display a natural tortoise shell coloration, finished in a clear lacquer. The chest of the piece is crafted of solid wood and is finished in a natural woven caning. The top surface is hinged and reveals spacious open storage within. The front of the chest shows a carved rattan motif, it’s quite stunning. The underside is unmarked or signed.
