A Set of 4 Sculpted Walnut Shell Back Dining Chairs by H. Paul Browning for Stanley Furniture, United States, c.1960. This Set of Dining Chairs would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. Each chair is crafted of solid walnut with a drastic grain shown throughout, accompanied by a deep original finish. The finish corresponds with many Mid-Century pieces, both American and Scandinavian. Each Chair shows a nicely sculpted shell-back backrest which offers perfect support. The set includes newly reupholstered seat bottoms in an atomic green vinyl, they contrast great and have not been sat in since upholstering. The underside of each chair is unmarked or signed.

Condition:

This Set was exceptionally well made, each chair is solid and sturdy without any wobble. Mild wear to the finish is shown from age and includes surface scratches and finish blemishes. The newly upholsters seats are in mint condition.
