A Victorian Carved Mahogany Pembroke Side Table, United States, c. Late 19th Century. This End Table would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. The table top includes two drop leafs, each include a separate block prop which supports each leaf nicely. The chest of the table shows three drawers, all of which open and close as they should and are faced with brass knobs. The knobs aren’t original to the table and were added at a much later date, although the suite the piece well. Throughout, you’ll enjoy hand carved motifs and accenting, most notable along the sides of the drawers and around the stem of the table. The paw feet of the base are drastic and nicely carved. The underside of the table is unsigned or marked.
