A Traditional Walnut Occasional Cabinet Chest, c. Mid 20th Century. This Chest would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid walnut shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. Around the chest, you’ll enjoy hand forged brass strapping which compliments the corners of the chest. A brass escutcheon is shown along the front, the lock is intact, although there isn’t a key included – The chest remains unlocked. The top lid of the chest is hinged and opens and closes as it should. The interior offers clean and spacious storage at its best. The ornamental brass embellishments contrasts perfectly off the walnut, it’s stunning. The chest alone lifts off the base for transport, or to showcase the chest from the ground. The hand turned gate legs are nicely styled and brings the design of the piece together nicely. This piece is unsigned or marked.
