A Farmhouse Spice Canister Tin Table Lamp by Ginna & Company, New York, c.1890. This Canister Tin Table Lamp would make for the perfect contrast piece while staged in an array of interior styles. This Spice Canister was crafted by Ginna & Company during the Late 1800’s, the company was later purchased by The American Can Company in 1901. Ginna’s Tins were expertly crafted, most notable for their heavily detailed lithograph artwork. This particular canister is shown in vibrant yellow with an Elk motif along front, the motif is surrounded by ornate detailing. The Canister was well preserved and converted into a fully functional table lamp, complete with a brass shade harp and finial. The backside shows the original Ginna & Company mark.
