A Lounge Sling K-Chair by William Katavolos for Leathercraft, New York, c.1950. This Chair would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. The original saddle leather that would have came on this chair was a flawed design for longevity. The Leather would heavily crease from years weight applied – It ultimately tears from the bottom seam and around the arm rests. We’ve had this K-Chair professionally reupholstered in a marine grade vinyl, it both looks and feels like leather – It’s as thick as shoulder leather. The Chairs frame and swivel base is of a black lacquered steel. The underside is unmarked or signed.
