A Qurtersawn Oak Library 4-Drawer File Box by Macey Wernicke, c. Early 20th Century. This Library File Box would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quatersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a satin finish. The box was refinished at some point, although it’s nicely aged. Each corner of the box shows exposed dovetail joints, which offers sensational contrast. Each of the 4 Drawers open and closes as they should, they include the original aged brass hardware. The interior of each drawer has the adjustable backstop, each shows the original Macey paper label.
