A Colonial Mahogany Railroad Station Bench, c. Early 20th Century. This Mahogany Bench would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. This Bench was purchased from a retired Pennsylvania Railroad workers estate, the home featured many antique railroad items and primitives. It was said that this Bench was used inside of a Railroad Station during the Early 20th Century. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by an deep aged satin finish. The backrest shows a series of bloated spindles within a turned frame, its absolutely stunning. The seat was reupholstered during the Mid 20th Century, it was done in a natural colored pebbled vinyl, the look and feel resembles shoulder leather – It offers perfect contrast while paired with the Mahogany. The turned legs adds a great look to this traditional design. The underside of the Bench is unmarked or signed.
