An African Tribal Carved Ebony Wood Fertility Tusk Figural Sculpture, c. 20th Century. This Carved Sculpture would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid ebony wood is carved throughout in a horn or “tusk” fashion. Around, you’ll enjoy a series of tribal men, all of which appear to be climbing upon one another to reach the only female, who’s shown along the top of the sculpture – Quite unique and likely attributed as a token of fertility. This piece is very solid and weighs just over 7lbs. The underside is unsigned or marked.
Condition:
This Sculpture was exceptionally well made, it’s in overall good condition without any chips. Minor surface scratches and natural hairline splits in the wood can be seen from age.
