A Lacquered Paper-Mache Tiger Hunting Motif Storage Box, India, c. Mid 20th Century. This Box would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The hardened paper-mache shell is finished in a hand painted Tiger Hunt motif. The motif is both heavily detailed and vibrant, displaying a Tiger hunting smaller game in foliage. The top lid fits nicely upon the hull of the box, the interior is clean and finished in a black lacquer. The underside is unsigned or marked.
