A Pair of Traditional Cast Bronze Elephant Head Bookends, c.1980. This Pair of Bookends would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The hollowed bronze is nicely aged, showing a fair amount of patina and tarnishing. Each Elephant head shows sensational details and is shown in the “trunk up” position – Many call this a gesture of good luck & fortune. Each Bookend is mounted to a hardwood base, which is finished in an original black lacquer. The underside of each Bookend is finished in a black felt. They are unsigned or marked.
