A Victorian Carved Mahogany Marble Top Pedestal Table, c. Early 20th Century. This Pedestal would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The piece would pair nicely with a large jardiniere, indoor plant, urn or used to display a sculpture. The mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. The 15″ square top includes an aged marble slab top, which is not attached to the surface – It can be displayed with/or without. The marble offers sensational contrast while paired with the mahogany. The pedestal shows a reeded stem, which is accompanied by carved motifs. The platform bottom shows nice lines, the underside is unmarked or signed.
