An Arts & Crafts Quartersawn Oak Sideboard Server with Mirror, c. Early 20th Century. This Sideboard would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. The Sideboard offers a tremendous amount of surface space, ideal for a bar, server or hall piece. You’ll enjoy a series of different sized drawers for storage, each shows dovetailed construction, and opens and closes as they should. Each drawer is embellished with brass Arts & Crafts pulls and brass lined keyholes (there is no key included, each drawer remains unlocked). Each side of the piece includes two open storage doors, for additional storage. Throughout each corner are faux tendons, which adds a nice character to the overall design. The hanging mirror shelf is not original to the sideboard, but is true to the Sideboards era. While the mirror is optional to display, it pairs nicely. The mirror includes three beveled glass original panels and a wide shelf for open display. The Sideboard likely had a shelf which attached to the back, there is a 1″ groove along the backside of the piece. Both the mirror and sideboard are unsigned or marked.
