A Victorian Farmhouse Oak Bonnet Chest Side Stand, c. Early 20th Century. This Bonnet Chest would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by an aged satin finish. Each side of the piece shows stunning raised panels. The top and bottom drawer opens and closes as it should, and shows Early American dovetailed construction. Each drawer is faced with an ornate solid brass Victorian pull – These add sensational contrast to the piece. The single bonnet door shows a carved scalloped motif within its raised panel, a single brass knob leads you to open storage within. The backside of the piece is unsigned or marked.
