A Traditional Walnut Cigar Tobacco Tin-Lined Storage Box, c. Early 20th Century. This Tobacco Box would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid walnut box shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. You’ll enjoy dovetailed joint construction, which is exposed along each side of the box. The top shows an aged leather strap and supports the full weight of the box nicely. The hinged top opens and closes as it should, it includes a brass “suitcase style” push latch – There isn’t a key included, the box remains unlocked. The clean interior is tin lined along the top and bottom, both inserts are removable. The bottom insert likely had a top tray which sat along the interiors ledge, this would have been used to separate rolled cigars or accessories. The bottom side of the Box is unsigned or marked.
