A Traditional Quartersawn Oak Roll Top Library File Cabinet by McCaskey Register Company, c.1910. This Roll Top File Cabinet would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a deep original finish. The roll top tambour glides within a track, smoothly as it should, this area locks and comes with the original key. The interior includes 25 alphabetized metal flips with spring flips, all of which are fully intact. An additional storage drawer drawer below the chest offers divided storage, this drawer is very solid and shows early dovetail construction. The original brass McCaskey Register label is shown along the front of the piece.
