An Atomic Rectangle Coffee Table by Viko Baumritter, c.1960. This Coffee Table would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. “Viko” by Baumritter was marketed as “Carefree Modern Furniture”, this often showcased Viko’s “Vikowood” – A laminated metal composite which looked like wood. The Tables metal frame is quite heavy, the “Vikowood” laminated top shows a drastic grain with a medium walnut tone – This shade pairs nicely with many Mid-Century designer pieces. The top shows a black bow tie motif along each side, this offers nice contrast. The sculpted legs adds a timeless flare to the overall design. The underside is marked Viko by Baumritter.
