An Arts & Crafts Quartersawn Oak 28-Drawer Library File Cabinet by Globe Wernicke, c. 1902. This Monumental Sized Library Cabinet would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The solid oak shows a drastic quartersawn grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. This single unit piece features 24 document drawers with original metal spring latch inserts. The interior or each drawer includes the original Globe library sheet, the earliest dating to 1902. Each drawer opens and closes as it should and is faced with original aged brass name plate pulls. The center of the piece includes two solid oak pull out writing surfaces.
