A Mid-Century Modern Slatted Birch and Rush Sculptural Chair by Arthur Umanoff, c.1950. This Chair would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. The size is perfect to pair with a writing desk, or staged as an occasional seat. The birch slat seat shows a drastic grain, accompanied by an original satin finish. The black wrought iron legs and frame offers sensational contrast and is finished in an original black lacquer. The floating backrest is finished in a natural woven rush – Adding an Organic sense to the Chairs overall design. The underside of the Chair is unsigned or marked.
