A Traditional Burl Walnut Marquetry Inlay Lap Desk Writing Box, c. Early 20th Century. This Lap Desk would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The box is crafted of solid walnut and finished in a burl veneer. Throughout the exterior, you’ll enjoy drastic marquetry inlays and traditional details, accompanied by a bird’s eye maple panel. The face of the box is hinged and drops down to reveal a green felted writing surface. The beveled top is hinged as well, it lifts to show a pen rest and accessory storage. Additional concealed storage can be found below the writing surface. The underside of the Box is unsigned or marked.
