Antique Victorian Walnut Carved Figural Griffin Northwind Hallway Storage Bench, c. Late 19th Century

This Victorian Hall Bench pairs nicely with many Traditional inspired interiors. The solid walnut shows a drastic grain throughout, accompanied by a deep satin finish. Throughout, you’ll enjoy hand carved motifs, including a double figural griffin top crown, northwind face panels & madam sphinx arm rests. Its fine carvings are attributed to RJ Horner – But is unmarked or signed. The Bench’s hinged top and interior storage makes for a practical entryway/foyer accent. The piece was professionally refinished, very well done so.
