This Empire Gentleman’s Shaving Mirror was crafted during the Late 19th Century. This Mirror would compliment a Chest, Dresser or Dressing Table nicely – It’s made for a Gentleman! The mirrors frame displays Early American wood working, including hand turned spindles and styled legs. It’s solid mahogany frame is finished in a drastic flame mahogany burl veneer. The Veneer is original to the mirror, although the finish shows fading from age as well as small chips in select areas as shown. The mirror pivots back and forth smoothly and the frame is overall sturdy. The glass isn’t original, but aged, we’d say Early 20th Century glass. The glass shows hazing and silverloss. We’d be happy to have the glass professionally replaced for $30; If you’d like to have the glass replaced simply write us in a message after purchasing and you’ll be charged the additional.
