This Art Deco Antique Mailbox was salvaged from a Brooklyn Apartment Building. This Mailbox was crafted by The United Metal Box Company during the early to mid 1920’s. The Mailbox shows an aged patina finish, which is uncleaned or polished. This particular mailbox includes 9 different mail cubbies and 1 large post carriers door to feed each section. All but 2 mail sections are locked, to open them, you’ll need to drill out the lock, or open them from the inside out. The large post carriers door remains unlocked to open and close. This unit sits flush in a wall and is finished off with a piece of brass trim. The right side of the brass trim is off its rivets and hangs loose as shown.
