An American Art Deco Chest Table in mahogany and oak, deeply finished with a drastic grain – Circa 1930’s. This piece was likely a flatware set which was gutted for a more modern practical use. The hinged top lifts to reveal large interior storage, followed up a drawer below. The drawer faces suffers two areas of finish loss. We’ve taken all of our photos in bright natural lighting to show this area to its absolute extent; Indoors, this is hard to see. The Chest top rests on sculpted carved wood pillars over a quatre-from base. This piece was likely refinished at some point in the pieces life, although it was not done recently. This piece is exceptionally sturdy – It was very well made. The drawers show early American dovetails, each open and close as they should. Overall, this piece is in nice condition with mild expected wear. Wear includes surface scratches, minor chips and finish blemishes.
