A Mahogany Library Bankers Office Chair by Globe Wernicke, United States, c. Early 20th Century. This Chair would look exceptional while on display in an array of office styles. This Chair offers great support and was exceptionally well made by the Globe Wernicke Company. We seldom get Library Chairs signed by Globe Wernicke. The solid mahogany shows a drastic grain throughout accompanied by a deep aged finish. The slatted backrest is nicely styled and flows into a flared arm rests. The chair is height adjustable and swivels 360 degrees – The chair also stands on brass shepherd caster wheels which aren’t original to the piece. They could be removed and replaced to your desire. The backside of the chair is marked Globe Wernicke.
Condition:
This Chair is exceptionally well made, its both solid and sturdy. Wear is shown throughout, its rich in age. You’ll find a worn finish which also includes surface scratches, minor chips and blemishes.
