An Arts & Crafts Oak Tobacco Cabinet with Pipe Holder, United States, c. Late 19th Century. This Cabinet is crafted of solid oak with a drastic grain shown throughout. The front double doors shows a stunning carved mahogany panel inlay which contrasts nicely. Each door includes an aged brass knob and key escutcheon (no key included). After opening the double doors, the entire top of the piece lifts up to reveal a hidden storage drawer with 5 areas to store tobacco pipes – Very unique design. The interior includes two small accessory drawers which are embellished with aged brass pulls and an open bottom storage areas. The cabinet includes a small Chinese black lacquered tobacco jar, this piece likely isn’t original, but it suits it well and fits inside perfectly. This piece is unsigned or marked.
