An Arts & Crafts Quartersawn Oak 16-Drawer File Cabinet by Macey, Grand Rapids Michigan, c.1910. This piece would look exceptional upon a credenza or table top, it would compliment a home office (or library) nicely. This piece would have originally stacked upon a series of different sized file sections, with a top cap and bottom base. This is 2 sections of 8 drawers each. The top of each section shows a quarter round trim upon back, which locks each section in place. You’ll enjoy complete dovetail construction which are exposed on the top and sides of each section. Each drawer opens and closes as it should, some are missing the back stops, although the side rails are including on each, we’ve pictured a complete drawer and a drawer missing the back rest (most drawers are complete). The face of each drawer shows an aged brass pull with matching catalog frame plate.
