Antique Black Forest German Carved Grape Vine Clock Shelf

This Black Forest Clock Shelf was crafted in Germany during the Late 19th Century. This Shelf is absolutely stunning and unique by design, we’d expect nothing less from a German Black Forest piece. Typically this shelf would have hung to display a clock, although we find many interior designers using pieces alike displaying a collection of valuables, or hung alone. The large back rest is heavily carved, displaying an array of grape vines and leaves. It’s detailed to perfection and appears drastic from every angle its viewed from. The Shelf surface is sturdy and would very well support the weight of a clock, this surface is crafted of pine. There is a joint on the backrest which became loose at the end, this area is circled in our photo gallery. It does not compromise the shelf once hung. You’ll find wear to the finish from age, as well as surface scratches and minor chips. This Shelf arrives ready to hang and enjoy!
