This Toucan Pitcher was crafted by The Ebeling & Ruess company circa 1920’s. Deco Toucan Pitchers were often reproduced during the Mid 20th Century in Japan for the Western Market. The manufacture mark that’s most associated with pieces alike is “Erphila”. Marked Erphila pieces are quite scarce, although this pitcher is even rarer and displays the mark of Ditmar Urbach of Czechoslovakia. The hallmark displays a “T” in the center, which stands for their factory in Teplitz. The Toucan is colorful and vibrant and adds a great look to any substrate it’s accompanied with. This piece would be stunning upon a shelf or used on display on a coffee bar. Overall, it’s in very nice condition without any cracks or chips, you will notice mild surface scratches and discoloration with age.
