This Qing Dynasty Stool was crafted in China during the Late 19th Century. This piece is heavily carved of Rosewood, with a drastic grain throughout. The Lotus shaped marble top displays stunning earth-like tones, it’s slightly discolored from age and shows mild surface scratches. The marble top is surrounded by burled veneer. The legs of the Table are expertly crafted, each showing a mythological Chinese ceremony mask with an open mouth. The bottom of each leg has drastic ball and claw accenting. This piece could be used to display a jardiniere with a live plant, or left alone as an accent table, it’s a great piece to incorporate into an array of interior styles. Overall, the piece is in nice shape, showing it’s age nicely – It’s very sturdy! You’ll notice a patina finish as well as scratches, chips and finish blems.
