A Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved Rosewood Occasional Table, China, c.1890. This chair displays early Chinese woodworking and joint techniques, it’s an overall pleasing please to view. The solid rosewood shows a drastic grain throughout accompanied by a deep original finish. This piece does show wear and repairs, it’s an overall sturdy piece and very well made. Surface scratches are shown as well as chips and splits in the wood. The marble top is in nice condition with only mild discoloration shown from age – it’s very nice. Throughout the table, you’ll find hand carved motifs as well as claw feet. The underside of the table is unsigned or marked.
