Seldom do we come across bookcases this nice! This bookcase was obtained from an estate in Freehold, New Jersey. The bookcase is crafted of solid mahogany with a stunning red finish which shines wonderfully. The glass doors include the original beveled glass and open and close nice. Inside of the piece was lined with a padded fabric, this was professionally done at some point in the pieces life, and it truly sets the piece off great. The contrast between the red mahogany and white/creme fabric inside is perfect. Overall, the piece is in very nice shape for its age, although it does have expected wear shown. Wear can include surface scratches, minor chips and finish blems. We believe the piece was professionally refinished, possibly around the same time the fabric interior was done. The barley twist sides could have been added, as they appear to be a harder wood that was blended to shade.
