A Farmhouse Mahogany Machinist Box Tool Chest, United States, c.1933. This Chest was original a Radio Cabinet by the Colonial Radio Company in New York, The piece was converted into a Tool Chest at some point during the Late 20th Century. The Chest is crafted of solid mahogany with a drastic grain shown throughout, accompanied by a deep original finish. The top of the chest includes a modernized hinge, which allows the entire top of the chest to open. Within, you’ll find a removable pigeon hole organizing tray for hardware. The bottom chest area includes two spacious utility drawers, both open and close as they should and include two Eastlake pulls from the Late 19th Century – It’s quite stunning. The inside of the piece includes the original Colonial Radio Company brass badge.
