A stunning piece by design, the perfect sized piece for smaller rooms! This Eastlake Secretary is over 100 years old, approximately 1880-1890. It’s crafted of solid walnut, with a drastic grain throughout. Select area of the secretary is embellished with a burl veneer, very eye catching! Within the secretary area, you’ll find an array of different sized cubbies, and a middle drawer. The writing surface would have had felt upon top, and it does show its age, although it is sturdy to use. Above the secretary area you’ll enjoy 2 shelves for additional storage, as well as a top carved motif. The bottom chest area includes 4 storage drawers as well as a small door. All of which open and close as they should and shows handmade dovetailed drawer sides. This secretary breaks down into 2 piece, each piece being relatively heavy. Overall, this is a very solid piece, in very nice condition. Expected wear is shown including surface scratches, minor chips and blems.
