An Eastlake Victorian Marble Top Dresser, crafted in the upper Northeast of the United States during the Late 19th Century. This dresser is made of solid walnut, with a drastic grain shown throughout. The finish is deep, and was likely gone over many times in the past, this dresser shows so much character. The large arched mirror is accompanied by an ornate frame, embellished with a carved top motif, double candlestick holders and burl veneered accents. The mirror appears to be the original glass and is in good condition with only mild surface scratches shown. The three piece carrara marble top shows beveled edges around and are removable. The marble shows surface scratches and mild discoloration in select areas, although we’d say the marble is in good condition without any cracks or chips. This dresser offers storage at its best with four small accessory drawers, two large stacked drawers and a hidden drawer at the very bottom (which blends into the bottom trim). Each drawer opens and closes as it should and is embellished with carved walnut traditional handles. Overall, this dresser is in very nice condition with mild wear shown throughout. Wear includes surface scratches, minor chips and finish blemishes.
