An Eastlake Victorian Platform Rocking Chair, crafted in the upper Northeast of the United States during the Late 19th Century. This chair is crafted of solid walnut, displaying a drastic grain throughout. The walnut is carved throughout, displaying traditional motifs and a stunning top crown on the back rest. The off-white (or ivory) upholstery has a premium feel to it, it was likely reupholstered at some point and the overall support of the cushion/springs are in good condition, its a comfortable seat! The upholstery shows areas of discoloration as well as a series of small stains on the seat, likely a furniture polish or stain. The chair rocks back and forth as it should, it doesn’t skip a beat!
