Quite possibly the finest of its kind! This Late 19th Century Tall Back Dining Chair is rich in age and was crafted of solid oak. You’ll enjoy finely detailed hand carved motif’s and barley twist accenting throughout. The tall backrest really adds aesthetic, and features 2 heavily detailed peacocks. The caned bottom and back is all intact and is in really nice shape. This chair is extremely well made and is very sturdy. The chair was refinished at some point in its life, although it was not done recently. Wear and minor repairs are shown, including surface scratches, minor chips and finish blems. There is a piece of wood chipped on the back of the chair which covers the caning.
